The Star of the Show: Steak

Whether you opt for ribeye, sirloin, or fillet, the secret to a great recipe is a simple, high quality steak!

  1. Preparation: Remove your steaks from the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking. This allows them to reach room temperature, ensuring an even cook.

  2. Seasoning: Rub the steaks with a dash of olive oil, then generously sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  3. Cooking: Heat your barbecue or griddle pan until it's smoking hot. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side for a perfect medium-rare. After cooking, let them rest under a foil tent to keep them juicy and tender.

The Perfect Sidekick: Ginni’s Famous Spicy Beer Nuts

Add some crunch and a kick to your Father's Day feast with these spicy beer nuts. They're easy to make and pack a punch of flavour, providing the perfect contrast to the succulent steak.

Ingredients:

  • 200g Ginni's Spicy Beer Nuts (Peanuts, Toasted corn, Cashew, Rice cracker)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  1. Preheat: Set your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) or gas mark 4.

  2. Mix: In a bowl, combine olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the nuts until they're thoroughly coated.

  3. Bake: Spread the nuts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they're golden and fragrant.

  4. Cool and Serve: Allow the nuts to cool, letting them become irresistibly crunchy.
